About the Author

Well here is a little information about me:

My name is Will, I have been married to Becky for about 1 1/2 years we have no kids and one lovable little mutt puppy named Sophie.

I left home when I was 18 because I wasn’t interested in farming. After 8 years of being an electrician and living/working in La Crosse and then Madison, WI, I decided that maybe farming wasn’t so bad after all!

I am now a 4th generation Dairy Farmer, the 3rd generation at our current location.

When I have time outside of farming, my main hobbies are anything related to motorcycles particularly racing. I spent three years club racing, but that is another story. 🙂 I also enjoy reading and learning all sorts of random useless trivia.

Becky and I this summer at Devils Lake, WI:

I feel as if I should include note about myself since I actually published tonight!!  My name is Theo Scholze, I am Will’ solder brother.  I am married to Sarah and we have two kids, Zoie 4, and Owen, 2.  I to left home never to return but after some college and 12 years of working in the trades as a carpenter and an electrician I decided that I missed agriculture and wanted to return to the farm with Will.  The main reason I resisted coming back for so long was that I had no interest in farming by myself, I have very minimal interest in the fieldwork side of things, so the thought of having to manage that kept me away.  Today Will manages the cropping side of our enterprise while I handle the dairy portion.  This allows us to concentrate on what we enjoy, as well as divide the workload.

I will try and post with some regularity on this site, however Twitter is my preferred Social media platform so if you choose you can follow me there @Theo_farms.  Thanks

Outside of the farm I have too many hobbies that I enjoy so I am not good at any of them.  I enjoy canoeing/kayaking, puttering around in the yard and doing some basic woodworking. Golf is also something I enjoy but it has been a couple of years since the clubs have seen the course!!

The best family shot I could get of all 4 of us!!

The best I could do!!

The best I could do!!

    Hi, Wisconsin Dairy Farmer.

I’m doing some research on Wisconsin dairy farms, and I have some questions I’m hoping you might be able to help me out with. If you’d be willing to briefly talk to me, is there a way to get in touch with you directly via e-mail or phone? I don’t see a contact link on your website.

HI there, I was wondering if there is a good way to get ahold of you and talk to you a little bit, I have something to offer that could really save you some time out there on the farm.

Hello! My name is Liz and I work for AKE Safety Equipment, makers of STOP-FYRE the world’s best fire extinguisher. I was hoping you would be willing to do a product review for us.
We would send you a mini size of our fire extinguishers to try out and post a review on your blog.
Let me know if you are interested and we can set something up.

Hello, I work for Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom, we create lessons for teachers to use to teach their students about agriculture. I am working on a dairy lesson for 3rd-5th grade and would like to add a worksheet with fractions. I found your image of a milking parlor on this page. Would it be okay for me to use this graphic on this page?

I will give your website credit and add a link to your site on the lesson. Please let me know. Thank you!
